Giant Scallops

Found living in the sand and gravel at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, Giant Scallops are usually caught by dredging the ocean floor. The edible portion of the scallop is often called the "nut" because it is the white muscle that opens and closes the top and bottom of the scallops two shells.

Giant Scallops can be served raw, pan-seared, or baked. They are commonly served with a garlic butter sauce.
